The Office for Rare Conditions has established a Patient Advisory Group consisting of parents, carers, and adult patients who receive care at hospitals in Glasgow and the West of Scotland. This group provides a platform for patients, families, and carers to connect, share experiences, and contribute to shaping the work of the Office for Rare Conditions, Glasgow.
Chaired by Arlene Smyth, the group meets regularly to discuss personal healthcare experiences, raise concerns on behalf of themselves or others, share useful resources, and offer mutual support.
The Patient Advisory Group receives support from the Office, and the Chair reports directly to the Office Steering Committee.
