Mission Statement

The Office for Rare Conditions aims to improve the quality of life for children and adults living with a rare condition by raising awareness, working with health care professionals to improve care and increasing participation in multi-centre research.

The Office for Rare Conditions is working to put the patient to the forefront, offering information and support to those affected by rare conditions.

Our Objectives are to:

Empower: by providing information.

Connect: to others with rare conditions.

Strengthen: be a strong voice together.

Working with health care professionals in Glasgow, we assist clinical services to provide information events for patients and families, help to develop a strong network of patient support organisations for people living with rare conditions and provide information on rare condition research and clinical trials.
